One day before the start of the 2022 season has the Marble Falls High School volleyball team feeling very optimistic. That’s because head coach Kait Goertz enjoyed what she saw from her Lady Mustangs in back-to-back scrimmages at Bastrop Cedar Creek Aug. 5 and at Wimberley Aug. 6 to cap the first week of two-a-days. The Marble Falls High School football team finished its first week of training camp Aug. 6 in full pads that included going through the playbook and hitting. The Mustangs had numerous players in various positions, none bigger than junior Brian Beltran who lined up at tight end and caught a long touchdown pass that fired up the offense.
