Lady Dawgs receive postseason honors after incredible journey

After advancing to a regional tournament for the first time in the history of its program, several members of Burnet High School girls soccer team were selected for several individual awards by District 18-4A coaches. Granite FC Elite, a soccer team featuring players who are under the age of 15, won the South Texas Cup championship April 9-10, which advances the squad to the South Texas Cup Finals at the end of the month. A decade drought of a Mustang earning a medal at the tennis district tournament ended for Marble Falls High School on March 30-31 thanks to senior Brody Knight. The Burnet High School boys and girls track and field teams were third at the District 19-4A meet April 6-7. The Bulldogs earned 96 points, while the Lady Dawgs had 106 points. San Marcos Hill Country hosted senior night before the start of its baseball game against Faith Academy of Marble Falls April 8, so the Flames braced for the Rams’ best effort.
