Marble Falls High School football fans will be treated to more than a practice Aug. 4 when the Mustangs host their second annual Midnight Madness. Gates open at 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, and the first 200 spectators will receive a complimentary T-shirt. Food and drinks also will be given away and fans can sign up to become members of the Marble Falls Athletic Booster Club. In addition, fans can buy Mustang game day helmets from past seasons to have a token they can display, head coach Keri Timmerman said.…

The Burnet High School volleyball program will open The Doghouse gymnasium for tryouts beginning at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, the first day the University Interscholastic League is allowing the practices to officially begin for the 2025 season. Days before the Fourth of July floods, Marcum’s journey started at Wirtz Dam and ended at the Inks Lake spillway near Burnet.
