Marble Falls Athletic Booster Club starts membership, sponsorship drive for 2025-26

The Marble Falls Athletic Booster Club is conducting its annual membership and sponsorship drive for the 2025-26 school year.

The sponsorship drive has several levels with the platinum being among the most popular, according to new membership coordinator Michele Boshears. It includes being listed on the booster club sign at Mustang Stadium and its sponsorship web page, public address announcement at home varsity games, an individual 4-foot by 8-foot sign at Mustang Stadium, vehicle decal, Mustang tote bag, Mustang insulated backpack, two general admission passes to every Marble Falls home game, and parking pass for varsity home football games. Cost is 1,250 but platinum members who renew pay $1,000.

The club also offers a gold package for $700, a silver for $400, a bronze for $200, and a family package for $50.

Boshears calls the drive “a ton of fun,” noting she has been reaching out to past sponsors and families and has received requests from those interested in being sponsors for the first time.

“We had planned on opening our membership drive sooner,” she said. “After the flooding we delayed it. We hit the ground running, reaching out to previous members, asking if they want to re-sign. We’re reaching out to other businesses.”

What excites Boshears are the number of graduates who are now business owners and have returned to the area who want to help their alma mater succeed.

She encourages families, especially those who have a child who will graduate in 2026, to join the club. That way that senior is eligible to receive a scholarship at the end of the school year. Without a family being members, the senior is ineligible for consideration.

The booster club is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit. It has a general fund that’s used to purchase items that benefit the entire athletic department. One example of that was buying a new surround sound system, which is used by the Mustangs and Lady Mustangs.

“That donation touched every athlete,” Boshears said. “Our whole objective is to be able to raise funds and support the program. Support the program financially throughout the season.”

She noted buying items that are returned to the program is a big part of the club’s role and falls in line with University Interscholastic League regulations. In the past, the club has bought pitching machines, travel bags and traveling clothing for baseball and softball, new hurdles for the track program, and various other items for the individual programs.

The coordinator emphasized those purchases aren’t by accident. She credits athletic director and football head coach Keri Timmerman, who is starting his second season at the helm, for having open lines of communication between his office and coaches and the booster club leaders.

“Coach Timmerman is so proactive,” she said. “He asks his coaches what are the things we truly need for our program? They’re able to bring those wish lists.”

Those wish lists are designed to empower the Mustangs and Lady Mustangs to compete at the highest level with complete focus and drive on obtaining their individual goals – competing for district crowns and advancing to the playoffs.

The club also created a new Facebook page that better allows individuals to follow the Mustangs and Lady Mustangs, share events and other data, and other important milestones leaders want families, alumni and fans to know, Boshears said.

That includes more information on being a sponsor. Contact Boshears at 830-613-0861 or email her at MF*********************@***il.com for more information.
