Faith Academy athletics adds more milestones to banners

Saying the Faith Academy of Marble Falls athletics department experienced a banner year in 2021-22 doesn’t begin to describe the success. The Flames were undefeated in district play en route to titles in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. They repeated as the Class 2A state track and field champions. The Burnet High School baseball team’s outstanding 2022 season was applauded by the other District 19-4A coaches when the all-district list was released May 16. Four Bulldogs were named first team all-district. They are third baseman Dash Denton, catcher Tanner O’Hair, utility player Ralston Vance, and pitcher Clayton Zinz. Faith Academy of Marble Falls senior Justin Mottle proved that he was right on time in signing his National Letter of Intent May 12 to play baseball for East Texas Baptist University, which is a member of the American Southwest Conference. After going unbeaten during the district season and capturing the program’s first district title, coaches honored the Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball players by naming two as the district co-most valuable players and other starters to the first and second teams.
