The Burnet High School cross country program competed at the Cedar Park Invitational Sept. 6 where the Bulldogs and Lady Dawgs posted top three finishes in the varsity divisions. The Bulldogs won the meet with a cumulative time of 1 hour and 28.30.9 seconds and an average time of 17:42.2 per runner, while the Lady Dawgs were third overall with a cumulative time of 1:11.46.2 and an average time of 14:27.9 per runner. The Burnet High School cross country program added more top finishes to its season. The Lady Dawgs won the Vikings Invitational Aug. 28 hosted by Lago Vista High School, while the Bulldogs finished second in the boys varsity division.
