Marble Falls tennis starts community league

The Marble Falls Independent School District tennis program invites the community to join the triple tennis league. It’s on Mondays, beginning Sept. 23, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Charlie and Nancy Herrington Tennis Center on the high school campus. It’s for people ages 9 and older. Head coach Samuel Whitley introduced triple tennis during the open courts sessions last summer. “You don’t have to have a tremendous amount of skill,” he said. “It’s fast paced. The Burnet High School team tennis team beat Salado 11-8 Sept 12 in District 25-4A play. “I am pleased to announce that we achieved victory,” coach Benjamin Boorman said. “We kept our playoff hopes alive.”  Team tennis plays seven doubles matches first — boys, girls and mixed.
