The Hill Country Elite was the runner-up at the Battle on the Prairies tournament in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Canada Jan. 11-14. The Elite defeated 14U Manitoba Selects 19-6 in its opener and 13U Saskatchewan Selects 20-0 and lost to the Alberta Golden Bears A 24-8 in the championship. With the beginning of fall training camp days away, the Marble Falls High School football is looking to finish the voluntary strength-and-conditioning program on positives. The Mustangs will have one more week of voluntary sessions Monday-Thursday, July 25-28, and head coach Brian Herman has given incentives to his athletes for attending.
