The Burnet High School baseball team defeated Georgetown Gateway 6-4 April 14 to remain a game behind Marble Falls in the District 24-4A standings. Much of that will be decided in the next two games when the Bulldogs (8-3) visit the Mustangs (9-2) at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Scearce Field and then welcome them to Bulldog Diamonds Friday, April 21, in a contest with a time change. The Marble Falls High School softball team beat Lago Vista 14-12 April 14 in its final home game of the 2023 season at Scearce Field. The Burnet High School baseball team lost to Georgetown Gateway 7-3 April 12 in a game that was played a day later than scheduled because umpires were no-shows earlier in the week.
