Marble Falls football hosts Midnight Madness

Marble Falls High School football fans will be treated to more than a practice Aug. 4 when the Mustangs host their second annual Midnight Madness. Gates open at 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, and the first 200 spectators will receive a complimentary T-shirt. Food and drinks also will be given away and fans can sign up to become members of the Marble Falls Athletic Booster Club. Improvements begin at Marble Falls’ Scearce Field

Stadium improvements at Marble Falls High School’s Scearce Softball Field have begun taking shape. Workers have installed pipes for what will be the bullpen for the visitors dugout, removed fencing to install new netting that keeps fans safe from foul balls, and have the cabinets for helmets ready to be put in the dugouts. The Marble Falls High School volleyball team found its new head coach. It’s Zoey Hanrahan-Beard, who has been an assistant coach with the Highland Lakes Aces volleyball club founded by Erin Sawyer, who is the Faith Academy of Marble Falls volleyball head coach. Beard noted she had her eyes on this job when it came open last year. But the timing wasn’t right for her. Passing Marble Falls ISD bonds with new baseball park sends same directive

Now that the Marble Falls Independent School District bond propositions passed, district officials are wasting no time in turning a vision of the buildings for extracurricular activities into a reality. Of the $172.2 million bond package that voters approved, $12.515 million is going to athletic facilities and $26.050 million is going to the multipurpose facility.
