Two football teams that played for 2021 state championships of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools met on Britton Field, located on the Faith Academy of Marble Falls campus, Aug. 12 to give fans an early look at this year’s players. Many activities are happening at Faith Academy of Marble Falls on Friday, Aug. 12. Marble Falls graduate Shipley is named ACPA head coach

Highland Lakes football player Hanner Shipley is following in the footsteps of his father Stephen and uncle Bob by becoming a football head coach. The younger Shipley is reviving the football program at Athens Christian Preparatory Academy after a six-year hiatus. He will spend the 2022-23 academic year preparing for the Storm’s return to the gridiron in the fall of 2023. Faith Academy of Marble Falls senior Justin Mottle proved that he was right on time in signing his National Letter of Intent May 12 to play baseball for East Texas Baptist University, which is a member of the American Southwest Conference. Faith Academy baseball dominates all-district honors

After going unbeaten during the district season and capturing the program’s first district title, coaches honored the Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball players by naming two as the district co-most valuable players and other starters to the first and second teams. The Faith Academy of Marble Falls softball team’s season ended in a 26-2 loss to district foe Pflugerville Concordia May 10. The Lady Flames made a change in the lineup when sophomore pitcher Jaedyn Hart was unavailable to play. Hart has thrown the majority of the innings during the season. ‘Epic’ mile relay win means the Flames repeated as the state champs

Just as Faith Academy of Marble Falls head track and field coach Steve McCannon predicted, the Class 2A boys state championship came down to the 4×400-meter relay, the meet’s last race May 7.
