Saying the Faith Academy of Marble Falls athletics department experienced a banner year in 2021-22 doesn’t begin to describe the success. The Flames were undefeated in district play en route to titles in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. They repeated as the Class 2A state track and field champions. The Smoking for Jesus Minstry School’s athletics department has changed high school leagues. The private school moved to the Texas Association of Independent Athletic Organizations, which happened after the basketball season ended. The department was previously a member of the Texas Christian Athletic League where the Eagles had tremendous success. The football team reached the league’s six-man state championship game in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and won back-to-back titles in 2020 and 2021. The Marble Falls Middle School boys soccer team ended its season with an 8-0 rout of Liberty Hill Santa Rita May 17 to go unbeaten during the 2022 season for a 6-0 record.
