The Burnet High School softball team quickly dispatched of Lampasas on March 8, winning 9-0. Head coach Hailey Wooten noted the Lady Dawgs (15-3) led 3-0 through six innings and then erupted for six runs in the seventh inning. The Burnet High School girls soccer team’s business-like approach resulted in another big road win March 8. The Lady Dawgs (15-6-3, 11-3 District 18-4A) beat Lampasas 3-0 and put themselves in position to finish second in the district standings if they can beat Salado in the regular season finale on Monday, March 14. The Marble Falls High School baseball team is displaying plenty of characteristics coaches want to see from athletes: spunk, belief, a never-die attitude, and a willingness to compete until the final out. Marble Falls High School offensive coordinator Heath Hohmann is the new athletics director and head football coach at Skidmore-Tynan High School in Skidmore, Texas. The Faith Academy of Marble Falls softball team began the 2022 season with an 18-10 loss to Concordia Christian School on March 7. The Lady Flames (0-1) committed seven errors in the contest. On the October weekend Burnet senior swimmer Ryan Behrens visited McMurry University and was offered a scholarship, he committed. The Burnet High School softball program completed a successful weekend on the diamond in their own tournament March 5.
