The Marble Falls High School football team lost to Brownwood 56-7 Sept. 1. The Mustangs (0-2) now focus on Killeen Chaparral at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. The Lions (2-0) scored on all five of their first-half possessions to build a 35-0 lead. Still, it took Brownwood a Marble Falls possession to figure out how to defend the slot-T offense. Johnson City baseball to face Kenedy in regional semifinals

The Johnson City High School baseball team is set to take on Kenedy in a Class 2A Region IV semifinal series at the University of Incarnate Word, 4301 Broadway in San Antonio. Game one is at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, and game two is at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 27. Game three, if necessary, will happen 30 minutes after the second game ends. Bulldogs earn electrifying 7-on-7 win during Burnet state qualifying tourney

The Burnet 7-on-7 team finished 1-2 at its state qualifying tournament May 28. The Bulldogs defeated Taylor in thrilling fashion. In overtime with Burnet trailing 25-18, senior quarterback Tanner O’Hair found junior receiver Grant Jones for the touchdown and the two hooked up again for the two-point pass and the 26-25 win.
