Marble Falls High School senior center Lexie Edwards recently committed to Howard Payne University. The 6-foot and 3-inch athlete plans to sign her National Letter of Intent in the spring. “I really like the community and the team,” she said. “It’s a great team and environment. Erin Sawyer is the new volleyball head coach at Faith Academy of Marble Falls. The Air-Time Elite girls basketball team finished as the runner-up at the Foreverland II tournament hosted by Premier Basketball June 17-18 in Mansfield. Burnet High School senior Kade Shaw had a great day at the ballpark playing for the Austin Wings 17-and-under summer select baseball team. On June 9, Shaw went hit three home runs in three plate appearances, and one was a grand slam. He did it against Up Top from Dallas during The Opener tournament.
