The Burnet High School cross country program added more top finishes to its season. The Lady Dawgs won the Vikings Invitational Aug. 28 hosted by Lago Vista High School, while the Bulldogs finished second in the boys varsity division. The Burnet High School cross country program competed at the Cedar Park Vista Ridge Invitational Aug. 22. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. Battle of the Hills, which is sponsored by Burnet Youth Football and Cheer, allows teams from Blanco, Boerne, Burnet, Fredericksburg, Lago Vista, Lampasas and Marble Falls to scrimmage one another before the season kicks off in a couple of weeks.
